London, 17 August 2009: WhiteLabelDating.com (WLD), provider of software and services that enable brands to create their own online dating sites, today announces the appointment of Darren Damiano to the position of Finance Director and board member.
Darren will focussing on improving management systems and the financial performance of the business. Darren has 14 years accounting experience and joins WLD from Match.com. As Director of Finance, he was heavily involved with their strategy plans, pricing, due diligence and financial modeling. During his time there, he implemented a number of projects which led to increases in revenue per subscriber, improvements in conversion, and a reduction in churn rates. These initiatives led to significant increases in year on year revenue. Before joining Match.com 6 years ago, Darren worked for a number of technology companies where he gained extensive experience in accounting and finance in the IT sector. With experience in UK statutory reporting, international accounting and taxation, establishing finance functions, and accounting for multiple trading companies he brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise.
In addition, Katie Mowe will also be joining the company as Consumer Marketing & PR Manager. Katie joins from DatingDirect.com where she was UK Marketing Manager responsible for managing all PR, branding and marketing, including the development of all external messaging and communications in the UK. Katie will lead the development of Global Personalsʼ own-brand consumer sites, which will help to normalise and expand the online dating market in the UK. This will include working on the branding of singles365.com, justsingles.com and datingagency.com.
