Our November comms round up

It’s almost Christmas and we can’t wait to start seeing the increase in engagement and activity come January!

For now, keep reading to find out how we engaged with the database last month.

Free read opportunity for basic members

On the 5th November, for Bonfire Night, we sent out a Free Read opportunity to all basic members in all networks. This allowed them to read their messages for free between 6pm and midnight. This increased the number of peak members online by 108% and the number of first messages being sent by 150%.

Q&A prompt

If a member fills out all the Q&A sections on their profile, they’re more likely to find their perfect match. On the 8th November we sent out a reminder to all members on the General network to make sure they’re profile is up to date and detailed. This increased answer submissions by 62%.

Mid-month discount offer

This month’s mid-month discount offer took place between the 10th and 13th of November. It contributed a 43% increase in upgrades and a 105% increase in re-initials.

A reminder to play Encounters

We sent out a reminder to all networks on the 19th November to encourage all members to play Encounters. The campaign was split by age group to allow for more diverse imagery to be used (with a generic version going to niched sites). We saw a 103% increase in Encounter votes and a 40% increase in matches over the following three days!

Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals

Between the 24th and 27th of November, we offered all basic members a 40% discount off their membership rate if they upgraded during this period. This contributed to a 43% increase in upgrades during this period and a 94% increase in re-initials.

End of month flash sale

On the 30th November, the last day of the month, we offered basic members a last minute opportunity to upgrade their accounts with a discount. This ended up contributing to a 29% increase in upgrades during this period.

Our comms team have been very busy creating and scheduling Christmas themed campaigns to use throughout December. Make sure you keep your eyes peeled for them this month or in the round up in January.
