With lots of special calendar dates like St. Patrick’s Day and Easter Weekend falling in March, our comms team came up with several creative campaigns to increase engagement around these dates… and to great success!

Easter offers
Between 26th and 31st of March, we ran various offers across all networks, from free reads to discounted memberships. The aim was to encourage members to upgrade their memberships and to increase engagement between members. The campaigns were successful and resulted in an increase in daily upgrades by 34% in comparison to the previous month!
Free messages
On 23rd March, we sent out a campaign across all networks and territories to remind members that they are able to send one free message to one another. The nag went live ahead of the Easter bank holiday weekend to encourage members to log back in and raise engagement levels for the long weekend. As a result, the reminder increased messages sent on that day by 13%, followed by a 100% increase the following weekend.
Photo upload incentive
To encourage members to upload more photos to their profiles, we launched a photo competition on 11th March. The competition offered a full membership to 10 people with the best grin! This resulted in a 38% increase in photo submissions.
Batman vs. Superman offer
March 26th was a special calendar date for all Superman and Batman fans, which is why instead of our regular Saturday campaign, we created a bespoke theme for the release of the new film. The campaign stood as a reminder for members to log in and check out new members, this increased the click through rate by 40%!
March offer
At the beginning of March, we offered basic members a discounted rate to upgrade their memberships. From this offer, we saw an increase in daily upgrades by 25%.
Now that Spring has finally sprung, our comms team are working really hard on creating seasonal campaigns to engage more members. Keep an eye out over the next month for some more effective and captivating offers.
