- Newsletter and waitlist. Email address and a one-time unsubscribe token.
- Operational logs. Minimal request logs for abuse prevention and debugging. No third-party advertising trackers.
4. How we use your data
We use the data above to operate your account, publish and moderate the community, send transactional emails such as sign-in links and reply notifications, respond to inquiries you send us, send the newsletter where you have asked for it, and prevent abuse.
6. International transfers
Data is processed in the United States and may be processed in the European Union or the United Kingdom by our subprocessors. For transfers out of the EEA or the UK we rely on the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where applicable.
7. How long we keep things
- Active account data is retained while the account exists.
- Contact form submissions are retained for 24 months for audit and quality purposes, then deleted.
- Soft-deleted community posts are retained for 30 days before hard deletion, so we can reverse moderation mistakes.
- Server logs are retained for 30 days, then rotated.
8. Your rights
If you live in the United States. Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what we hold, access a copy, correct or delete it, port it to another service, and opt out of sale, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, or profiling that produces a significant decision about you. We do not sell or share for advertising, and we do not run automated profiling that produces significant decisions about you. You also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights, and the right to designate an authorized agent to act for you.
If you live in the UK, the EU, or the EEA. You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office or with your local supervisory authority in the EU or EEA.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us through /contact or use the self-serve controls on your account page.
9. Account deletion
When you delete your account, we close it and remove personal profile fields. By default we anonymise rather than mass-delete your authored community posts and reviews, so existing discussion threads remain readable for other members. If you would also like your authored content deleted, tell us in the deletion request and we will do so, subject to the limited exceptions where law or active fraud investigations require us to retain a record.
10. Children
The site is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, as defined by the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, and we do not permit accounts for anyone under 18. If you believe an underage account exists, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We protect data with row-level security on every database table, passwordless authentication so we never store passwords, role-separated database access, hashed IP addresses for abuse logs, and encryption in transit. No security system is perfect. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
12. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid opt out of sale and sharing where applicable, even though we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser headers because there is no agreed industry standard for them.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in our newsletter and through an in-app notice for signed-in members. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page is always current.
14. Contact and complaints
All privacy requests and complaints can be sent through /contact. You can also reach us by post at: Trichotomic Inc, 30 N Gould St, STE R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA.
