Customer Support Team Update w/c 12th Oct

Hello again everyone! It’s time again for your weekly Support Update. We trust you are ready to hear what the Support Team have been doing and we are excited to provide you with the updates from last week. Lets get started with another insight for you as to what we all get up to here in Support. This week has flown by for the support staff as they have all been working at their usual fast and busy pace to answer our member queries very efficiently. We are proud of the level of customer service they provide to every member. There is always a high level of quality and respectable amount of time spent on each individual response as we aim for every single customer to leave with a smile on their face :)

Member query of the week

The Support Team have noted that photo uploads have become the largest query of the week. As we all know, for those new to the world of Internet dating, the whole concept can seem rather daunting, especially uploading a picture of yourself. In Support we get a large amount of members asking for guidance on what photos they should upload and how quick the whole process is. We advise our members to avoid pictures which may; include large groups of people, are taken at a long distance, contain dark lighting and have a grainy texture. Instead we promote them to upload clear facial shots and to always take advantage of having the additional 9 pictures on their profile which can include; your hobbies, friends, family and maybe even some with themselves and their pets! As we have seen in the past, members who upload a picture onto their profile receive 10 times more interest than those who don’t and therefore, giving them a more attractive profile. This obviously leads them that one step closer to finding their perfect partner!

We have numerous ways for our members to upload pictures onto their profiles, these being:
1. Upload via your PC
2. Upload via your mobile
3. Upload via our scanning department
4. Upload via our new cam facility

We are pleased to see that our brand new web cam facility is proving very popular which will hopefully encourage more of our members to upload their pictures with us.

Great New Security Feature For Your Members

Here are WhiteLabelDating.com we pride ourselves on converting more basic to full paying members than any other platform. Experience has taught us that members with photos receive more communications, encouraging full paying members.

Therefore, we’re delighted to announce the introduction of webcam profile photographs to all of our partner’s sites. One of the main concerns of dating site members is that photos are out of date or aren’t of the actual person that they’re speaking to at all. To get around this problem, our new webcam feature allows members to prove that they are who they say they are by uploading a photo to our partner’s sites directly from the camera on their computer. This photograph is then verified with a date stamp.

Adding a webcam photo is completely free for members and we’re confident it will prove popular. Within a day of testing the new feature on Singles365.com we had 234 members upload their pictures.

We continue to strive to push boundaries, making online dating safer and are excited to be able to provide our partners with this additional functionality as standard, rolled out across the whole platform.

Gosh, has it been a week already? But there is plenty to share since last weeks issue! Our support team have had a busy week over the past seven days covering holiday absence. But our dedicated Support Team are not shy of a challenge and are used to working well under pressure which is good given the level of activity that they’re faced with every day. Plus a little something extra we’d like to share in our good feed back section below is a support message received by Cara Bunce (our latest edition to the team as you very may well have read in our last issue) which shows us she’s not just fitting into the customer support role fast but to the standards and professionalism that the rest of the team holds.

We have recently added the option for members to pay for membership via their mobile phones. As mobile popularity increases, so do these queries! This is proving to be a very popular method of payment amongst our members, not only is it a quick process, but it also provides a discreet form of upgrading with us. The payment is taken either from their phone credit or is simply added onto their phone contract at the end of every month. And for our members who want to be provided a more discreet form of upgrading with us are beginning to prefer this method. NatMags Marketing Cleverly

We were pleased to see one of our great partners, NatMags featured in NMA this week looking at the launch of their recent sites.

“Cosmopolitan’s The One and Men’s Health’s Dating Lounge will be separately branded but will exploit the crossover in reader demographics to match users from each site.”

The sites have been cleverly targeted for each of their audiences ensuring that the branding is consistent with the sites and the platform integrates seamlessly with their navigation. Through linking to each of the sites, they’re hoping to get plenty of males and females signing up, all of which should be around the same age group and with similar interests.

Justine Southall, Publishing Director for Cosmopolitan magazine said:

“The most popular and important sections are the sex and relationship areas, representing an opportunity for synergy,” said Southall. “We already share content with Men’s Health and this is a good example of making it into something tangible.”

This just backs up the figures that we here at WhiteLabelDating.com are witnessing… dating is going from strength to strength. With the success she’s had within the current UK market, Melanie has decided to expand into new territories, where the markets are less saturated and still in a state of modulation. WLD Drawing in the Crowds at ad:tech 2009

ad:tech 2009 was one of our most successful shows to date! Taking place over two days at The National Hall, Olympia it was definitely not a show to be missed. With the hundreds of people walking through the Olympia doors and over 10 smiley WLD staff on the stand it was smooth sailing from day one.

Partner Account Manager, Gary Taylor gave a very positive presentation on both days of the show which definitely drew in the crowds. WLD even had our very own magician, Jamie Raven attracting potential customers towards the stand with his array of magic tricks he had hidden up his sleeve!

It was a really successful show and huge thanks to everybody that popped over and said hello, it’s always great to see a familiar face!

Stealing the Show at iDate

WhiteLabelDating.com always enjoy attending the Internet Dating Conference (iDate) and this year was no exception. We were there in force, sponsoring the conference and of course the after party!

We had our very own Mel Kirk taking the stage, whose presentation, Using Social Media to Increase Revenue was topped for being one the best of the conference! Not only that it has also been top voted presentation on Facebook, Twitter and Editors Pick and that’s saying something! You can check it out on the WLD blog.

As always it was great fun and very informative. We will of course be at the Miami conference in January so if you missed us in London be sure to catch up with us there!

Alan Titchmarsh TV Fame

We were delighted when one of our partners sites, MaritalAffair.co.uk was approached to be featured on  ITV1’s Alan Titchmarsh Show following billboards spotted by the Producers and recent press coverage around the subject of affairs.

Given that we have an experienced Marketing and PR team in-house, we were happy to appear, representing the site. Therefore,  Mel Kirk, our Social Media Manager trundled along to the studios to be quizzed by Alan Titchmarsh , Gloria Hunniford and psychologist Nick Ferrari.

Mel managed to escape alive and even had a smile on her face, later made bigger when congratulated by the Executive Producer in the green room. The interview is due to air on Monday 5th October at 3pm, ITV1. It promises to make for an interesting debate, so be sure to tune in and let us know what you think.

An Afternoon of Clay Pigeon Shooting for the WLD Partners

The time had come for another fun filled WLD partner event a few weeks ago when a handful of Whitelabeldating.com partners joined some of the WLD team for a day of clay pigeon shooting. The day was great fun, with partners getting involved in the shooting and perhaps even getting a little competitive! There was after all a bottle of champagne to be won!

The partner events serve as a great opportunity to invite partners showing outstanding performance or potential to network, discuss ideas and get to know the team a little better.

A huge thank you goes out to those partners who attended the event, I hope your shoulders were not too sore the next day! We are very much looking forward to the rest of the year and the exciting events planned for the next few months! So we hope you have some spare space in your diary!
