Star of the show at iDate 2008

Posted by Natalie Woods on Tuesday, 30 September 2008 12:37 PM

It was unusually quiet at the beginning of last week in the WhiteLabelDating.com head offices, as most of our team took a trip up to Kensington London, to make an appearance at the iDate conference, held at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel.

The Internet Dating Conference (iDate) is the largest trade show and business conference for the internet dating and social networking industry, covering everything from management and marketing to new technology. Held several times a year it is a great opportunity to meet some of the industry experts, software companies, and ’super affiliates’ to name just a few.

WhiteLabelDating.com were platinum sponsors, and with almost 20 members of staff attending the conference each day, ranging from our web developers to our customer support team, and our Chairman Ross Williams speaking at the event, we certainly were the main attraction.

As always it was great fun, not forgetting the unmissable networking opportunities, informative conference seminars (and the fantastic lunch!!). If you missed us at the London event, please be sure to catch up with us in January at the Miami conference, which is by far the largest conference of the year, so certainly worth the trip. I hope to see you there!

WhiteLabelDating.com is recognised worldwide as the best performing white label dating provider.  Dating sites on our platform convert more members, keep members paying for longer and generate far more revenue for our partners than any other provider.

And here is why, since Internet World 2008 in May :

  • 482 sites have been launched,
  • Our database of members has increased by 175.49%,
  • Revenue has grown by 58% month on month,
  • 243,136 credits have been spent online, additional to member subscription fees.

We have enjoyed fantastic success over recent months, with partner growth increasing by 348% since the beginning of 2007, and overall revenue we are achieving for our partners has increased by 32% since Internet World.

Much of this success is due to WhiteLabelDating.com taking on many sites that partners were previously running on competitor platforms.

Since Internet World 2008 we have taken on board 24 different dating websites from competitors, all of which have now been redesigned and relaunched and are all showing massive potential.  These sites include:-

Dateline.co.uk - Founded in 1966, Dateline is the UK’s longest established dating brand in the UK.  After launching it’s online services it quickly became obvious that they did not have the facilities to keep the online functionality offered to users up to date.  Dateline relaunched on WhiteLabelDating.com’s platform earlier this year, and since then revenue has increased by over 78%.

FootlooseDating.co.uk - a site targeting over 30’s daters, Footloose moved from a competitor platform to WhiteLabelDating.com after learning about our unbeatable conversion rates.  The site enjoyed a brand new design, and is a fantastic example of good use of Flash.

TabooPersonals.co.uk - also relaunched on our platform earlier this year, this site is positioned on our Casual Dating network.  Whatever your audience, we can create a site for you!

WhiteLabelDating.com speed improves 300%

Posted by Ross Williams on Tuesday, 16 September 2008 7:00 AM

Following our server migration last week, we’re very pleased to report that average response times to our servers from around the world have improved 300% according to our monitoring service Pingdom.

In addition, we’ve enjoyed 100% uptime since the migration across our network due to increased redundancy and scalability.

This is resulting in improved speed and conversions across our network.

WhiteLabelDating.com launches on new server architecture

Posted by Ross Williams on Friday, 12 September 2008 3:59 PM

We’re very pleased to report that the migration of WhiteLabelDating.com to a new data centre is complete and partner sites are faster than ever.

Our new infrastructure is extremely scalable and we’ll continue to be adding additional servers and devices over the next few months to ensure maximum reliability and redundancy.

Next week we’ll begin rolling out new features to partner sites including:

  • SMS Alerts
  • Desktop Alerts
  • Video Profiles
  • Mobile Access
  • Improved Member Support System

Now is a great time to increase your marketing activity - members joining over the next few weeks will experience a much faster website and be more likely to upgrade.  We’ll also notify members when new features are available, again encouraging them to upgrade.

Be sure to increase your marketing over the next few weeks and you’ll see a great return as we begin the most popular time of the year for online dating.

WhiteLabelDating.com featured in .net magazine

Posted by Ross Williams on Thursday, 11 September 2008 10:21 AM

We were pleased to see WhiteLabelDating.com heavily featured in the October 2008 issue of .net magazine.

The feature concentrated on the success of one of our partners who runs a portfolio of 30 dating sites on the WhiteLabelDating.com platform.

We’ll be posting case studies like this in a couple of weeks - subscribe to the RSS feed of this blog to learn more.

Newspaper advertising declining? WhiteLabelDating.com can help

Posted by Ross Williams on Friday, 5 September 2008 1:30 PM

According to an article published on Techcrunch, the steep decline in print advertising just keeps getting steeper and, for the first time, even online ad sales have gone down. Total print ads in the U.S. were down 16 percent in the second quarter to $8.8 billion.

Online advertising is also down.

Perhaps this is why newspapers are returning to known revenue generating sources such as dating - particularly in-paper dating through IVR and online dating.

We’re in the process of rolling out a few hundred dating sites for regional newspapers in the UK and will be formally announcing this and some more partnerships in October. We’ve already seen some sites generate more in their first month on our platform than they did for 6 months previously.

We’ll be releasing more information for newspapers and media owners in October about how they can specifically benefit from a white label online dating solution.
