According to Google, the term ‘online dating’ experienced a huge surge of searches throughout December and had particularly big spikes of traffic for the term on Sundays.

Looking at’s data, the four days post Christmas had a 25% increase in sign-ups compared to the four days prior to Christmas, highlighting the huge demand for online dating at this time of the year.
