Something very spooky is going on in the office today. There’s a vampire answering calls in the customer care team, an Angry Bird managing our servers, a wicked witch in the partner team and we’ve just seen Darth Vader stroll past. And no, it’s not just a normal Monday in the office.
Dusting off our ghosts and ghouls costumes for the day, the team have gone all out to really get into the spirit of things, all in the name of Halloween. Although we love any excuse to dress up and have fun, we’re doing it for a great cause too.
Everyone taking part in today’s fancy dress will be doing so for a very worthy cause – Macmillan Cancer Care. This charity is a very special and personal choice for the team as one of our Partner Managers, Kaleigh, has just reached her first year of remission having recently battled with stage 2B Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Kalaigh will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro for the charity next year and Global Personals will be donating on behalf of each person wearing fancy dress as part of the fundraising efforts.
Ross adds: “Everyone in the office knows how truly inspirational Kaleigh was throughout her experience. I’m really pleased that we’ll be able to support her fundraising and I’ve no doubt that she’ll smash her target and more.”
Update: I am pleased to announce that we have raised £390 today!
