Kaleigh’s Mount Kilimanjaro Charity Climb

Christmas and the New Year both feel like distant memories as we try and shift those festive pounds and storm through January. After any amount of time off, it can be a struggle getting back into the swing of things and into your usual routine, unless you work for

It doesn’t matter how long you are away from the business here at WLD HQ. The team will always welcome you back as if they only caught up with you yesterday- I know this personally as I have been out of the office for over 10 months…

I am one of the Partner Managers here at and have been part of the team for over 2 years, although unfortunately not all of that time has been spent working closely with company. I was recently diagnosed and have battled with stage 2B Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. 2010 certainly represented itself with incredible highs and harrowing lows and looking back it is definitely a defining moment in ALL of my 24 years 🙂

Everyone has defining moments, however it’s what we choose to do with those moments that differentiates us. Instead of living in fear and anxious about what else life has to throw at me, I am making the most of a rather rubbish situation.

In January 2012 I will be getting my inactive self into action and will be climbing Africa’s Mount Kilimanjaro. The largest free standing mountain in the world at 19,341ft high. Around 25,000 people attempt to reach the summit every year; 12,000 fail to do so! The climb is to raise awareness and funds of Macmillan Cancer Support, a company who help thousands of people deal with the daily devastating affects living with cancer brings. A charity that has helped me and my family personally.

Not only have help me get back on track with work, they are helping me go above and beyond anything I could have ever imagined doing. We will be doing our best to raise funds for this fantastic cause in any way we can. Thank goodness for Louisa and her culinary attributes, the team are dreading being bombarded with my terrible baking skills for charitable efforts! Keep track of our fund-raising efforts at my page-
