The top three places for internet users in South Africa are Johannesburg, Cape Town and Pretoria. Mirroring the popularity of mobile phones in South Africa, mobile is having a huge impact on the dating scene, with 37% of all Google dating search queries coming from mobile. Arthur Goldstuck, Managing Director at Technology Market Research agency World Wide Worx, commented:

“The Internet has finally awoken, fully, in South Africa. Penetration is now approaching 20%, and for the first time we can see the mass market embracing digital tools on their phones”.

With the rise of mobile, internet penetration and online dating, the current marketplace looks buoyant in South Africa.
