Global Personals Ltd rank 5th in The Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200

Global Personals Ltd ranked 5th in The Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200. The league table, published yesterday, recognises Britain’s mid-market companies with the fastest growing international sales, based on the last two years of audited accounts.

FT badges 19 April 2012Founded in 2003, Global Personals is one of Europe’s fastest-growing privately owned online dating and digital media companies. With annualised revenues of £50 million, the company climbed 8 places to rank at number 5 this year. Operating across seven English-speaking territories including Australia, USA and Canada, Global Personals has seen international growth of 180% over the last two years.

As the only online dating company to feature in the International Track 200 for the second year running, Global Personals placed above a number of other UK tech success stories including Mind Candy (makers of Moshi Monsters), Skyscanner, Wiggle and The Hut Group.

As multi-award winners, Global Personals is part of Tech City UK’s Future Fifty, has placed in both the European Media Momentum awards and Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA for four consecutive years, and ranked in The Sunday Times BDO Profit Track twice.

CEO and founder of Global Personals, Ross Williams, said:

Last year, Global Personals were named as a ‘Company to Inspire Britain’ by the London Stock Exchange Group, recognised as delivering significant economic impact to the UK. I strongly believe in the importance of international trade for UK businesses and the positive effect this has on the British economy. I am exceptionally proud of my team for enabling Global Personals to be named among UK technology companies bridging the international trade gap; our recognition in The Sunday Times International Track 200 reaffirms that.

Ian Stuart, Head of HSBC UK Commercial Banking, commented:

The Sunday Times International Track 200 continues to provide an interesting insight into the important contribution privately-owned mid-market companies make to the UK economy, and this year’s league table symbolises the dynamism and innovation this group of companies with international ambitions are famed for.
