This week, we’re giving you the lowdown on which tools you should use to improve the results you see from your SEO strategy, explain how using Campaign Tracking could increase your profit and give you tips on how to conduct an SEO audit across your portfolio.
The best SEO tools around
When it comes to looking for SEO news and advice, there are a few trusted places you can go. Search Engine Land, Search Engine Journal and SEO Book are all great places to start, but you should also keep an eye out on Twitter for great blogs from SEO experts and agencies.
Here are just a few of the tools you could use to supercharge your SEO strategy…
SEMrush– SEMrush shows you which keywords your competitors are ranking for, what their best performing keywords are and more. All you need to do is put their URL into SEMrush and it will return the information for you – giving you much more detail than Google Keyword Planner. SEMrush also have loads of other great tools that we’d recommend checking out.
WikiGrabber – WikiGrabber is a great tool for looking up keywords and finding links that are relevant to you. All you need to do is enter a search term and it will come back with a list of related pages that either need a citation or have a deadlink. This will help you see what links you may need to fix or that need a citation.
Moz – With an array of insightful SEO advice and useful tools, you can use Moz for free or you can subscribe to Moz Pro. As part of the free tools, you can use their keyword database to prioritise the best keywords for your site, analyse search, social and page metrics for any site you visit within Chrome and you can uncover content and link building opportunities.
How to make the most out of Campaign Tracking
Campaign Tracking allows you to measure the success of your marketing campaigns. You can access the tool from the dashboard when you login to the White Label Dating Partner Portal.
It will help you identify which of your marketing campaigns are generating the most registrations and highest conversion rates – whether that’s your PPC campaigns or your organic SEO efforts. You should use this information to optimise your campaigns accordingly.
Here are three steps to follow to track your campaigns correctly:
1) Ensure that any site you drive traffic to has the Campaign Tracking script inserted into the HTML.
2) Create your unique tracking URL in the Campaign URL Builder. Insert the current URL of your landing page, the traffic source you want to measure, the campaign name and the keyword that you’re tracking into the tool. You can find the URL builder here.
3) Use the campaign URL you have created as your destination URL for any campaign you want to track.
