WHY MAKE THE CHANGE?

It’s important to note that HTTPS is being introduced as a lightweight signal, with existing ranking signals such as high quality content and linking continuing to hold the most weight.

We would still, however, advise all partners to get on board with the changes, especially those who have an SEO strategy in place. After all, it’s a small change that will only help to benefit the ranking of your sites going forward.
