Going Crazy for Lovegaa.ie!

One of our partners has had a very busy and successful day today and should be very proud!

Lovegaa.ie is a niche site that offers supporters of Gaelic Games the chance to put aside their sporting rivalry and see if they can become a match made in haven.

The site, set up only three week ago has been very successful over in Ireland where Gaelic Games are hugely popular and it seems so is Lovegaa.ie! Today alone the site has been featured in two online articles, in one newspaper, has had calls for interviews from one of the top radio stations in Ireland 2fm.ie and Newstalk and has had huge interested from the Irish News in Belfast.

basic member count has gone through the roof today thanks to all the media attention the site has received and will only continue to rise due to all the press the site is getting. The site’s owner is still getting inundated with phone calls so we can’t see the press around it stopping today!

Huge congrats to Lovegaa.ie and it just shows what can happen when you set up a site that really interests people!

Ross Williams is interviewed by Online Personals Watch…and my haven’t we grown!

It’s been a good three years since our CEO Ross Williams was interviewed by Online Personals Watch and my my hasn’t a lot changed. Back in 2007 Ross Williams and Steve Pammenter, Director of Partnerships here at WiteLabelDating.com were interviewed about their background, the companies goals and where White Label Dating will be in years to come…so did they reach the goals they wanted?

They reach them and a hell of a lot more! At the end of the last interview Ross and Steve were asked what they hoped to achieve with WhiteLabelDating, their response, that they wanted to be the top white label dating company, and three years later they have done just that.  Quote Ross Williams, “Global Personals’ business has grown and white label dating is responsible for the vast majority of our business. I think we’re generally considered the number 1 white label dating company worldwide.” After reading the recent interview you can really see how far White Label Dating has come in just three years. The interview this time around was focused much more on the companies’ developments, where we are in the industry and our always improving platform.

The piece has been published on Online Personals Watch and makes a really good read, especially if you get a chance to read both interviews as it really sets a light on how the company has developed. It will be interesting to see the next interview in another three years time and see how the 3 -5 year plan is coming along!

- Don’t be afraid to be different- we all know that online dating is now bigger than porn, so you need to STAND OUT! Try to reach a different sector of your target market with a new approach to the imagery, content and language used within your homepage.

- Make the most of your traffic- encourage your members to give feedback on your brand. Run competitions and surveys from your homepage to try and encourage members to give their views. Why did they choose your site? Have they had any good meet ups or do they have any funny dating stories? This content can then be used on your homepage, making your site a real, approachable brand

- Try running monthly tips, or monthly featured members on your homepage. It’s important that members see your brand as a support to their online dating experience, keep them coming back not only to date but also to get advice and find hand picked, quality members! Members will then begin to see the brand as up to date and good value for money.

Online Dating Infographic - Publishing Your Online Content Creatively

One of our partners, www.welovedates.com recently created an online survey about online dating and relationship experiences.

Well the results are in and they have very clearly published them onto their blog in the form of a infographic. The infographic represents the data in a quick and clear manor and makes simple questions into more of a story for the reader.

The results themselves show that the best first date idea is meeting for a drink with the possibility of dinner, that the ‘about me’ section on a online dating profile is more important then the ‘pictures’ section. It also shows that 80% of the participants that took part in the online survey has known someone who found love on the internet or has found it themselves.

Posting interesting online content creativly can really help push your site and help build up your traffic. If you have anything interesting like this make sure you pop it up on your blog and facebook pages and post it onto Twitter, the more channels you feed the information into, the more uptake it will have!

Get Into the Mind of Your South African Members

As the South African network continues to go from strength to strength and the overall internet usage is on the up in South Africa, this is no better time to get some insight into this set of internet demographics.

Thanks to the internet Access Study carried out by World Wide Worx there are now some really interesting insights into the World Wide Web over in South Africa. The most interesting and exciting stat being that the number of internet users in SA has passed the 5 million mark for the first time! Think of all the possible site surfers that you could have!

The research also shows that the country’s internet user base grew by 15% in 2009, from 4.6 million to 5.3 million, and is expected to grow at a similar rate in 2010. It also shows that there are currently around 3.36 million users using their mobile phones for web browsing.

Also included in the online article is the most recent Nielsen online statistics about local website visitors and sheds light on who visits South African websites. YoursDating.co.uk Re-vamp Increases Same-Day Conversion Rate

Sprucing up your home page’s design can do wonders! YoursDating.co.uk refreshed their site’s look last month and received feedback from their members saying that 93% where either ’satisfied’ or ’somewhat satisfied’ by the new design, plus same-day conversion rate increased by 2%. 93% of members also said they would recommend YoursDating.co.uk to a friend or family member.

It just goes to show what a re-vamp can do for your site(s), and your conversion rates. Taking a little time to think of a new design really can pay off.

Increase Your Conversions With Google Optimizer

GlobalPersonals.co.uk saw a 15% reduction in basic member registration costs within a few days of switching on the Google Optimizer and it continues to improve.

The Google Conversion Optimizer is an AdWords feature (free for accountholders) that allows marketers to set their maximum costs-per-acquisition and get automated keyword bids. The tool adjusts cost-per-click bids based on potential conversion, using data such as location, match quality and user operating system to determine the value of a click.

Re-bill Revenue Increases By 40%

Re-bill revenue as a 7-day average has increased by a staggering 40% over the last 3 months, with Life Time Value (LTV) increasing by 12% based on the increased duration of packages. Termination rates across the WhiteLabelDating.com platform have also fallen by 15% since January 2010.

In February 2010, a new moderation tool was introduced to the customer care and relationship management system, enabling the team to moderate members’ first messages, ‘Ice Breakers’, profiles, photos, videos and diarys before going live on site. This enables members who join up to a site in the evening to have their profiles often approved
within a matter of minutes.

Since introducing a separate Moderation Team to Customer Care, moderation times have dropped from an average of 12 hours per item to under 3 hours on average. The current average approval times are:

- Photos: 2 hours

- Icebreakers: 2 hours

- Profiles: 2.5 hours

- Private messages: 2 hours

- Diary entries: 3 hours

- Videos: 4 hours
