Email Verification

As everybody in the industry knows, the fight against scammers is a constant battle. Not only do they muddy the database, they lower the experience of members on the site and reduce conversions from basic to full membership.

Here at WhiteLabelDating.com, we’ve decided to introduce email verification for new members joining your site. As soon as they go through the sign up process, an email will be sent to their inbox with a link which will verify their account.

We’re excited by this introduction and look forward to seeing an improvement in the quality of members in the database.

Well its finally here, Christmas is in a few days time and we are still working hard to answer all our members ‘ queries through email, phone and support message. We are also offering Customer Care to all our members on Boxing Day to ensure that any questions can be dealt with as soon as possible to keep our members satisfied with the service we provide. We all had a great time at the Christmas Party last week and it gave everyone a chance to mingle with different members of staff which is always a great positive for social work events. As Christmas is on Fridaywe also wanted to take this opportunity to say Merry Christmas from all of us here at Support! We hope you have a lovely holiday and we are looking forward to seeing you again next week.

Query of the Week

With Christmas creeping up our members have been longing to find their perfect partner in time for the festive season, this means that they are asking us how they can get to know other members a bit better and how they should be doing this.

We do not stop members from sending each other contact details as long as this is within a private message, however we do not advise that any members hand out their contact details until they are 100% certain that they are communicating with someone that they trust.

For members within our general network we advise that they use the online chat facility as they will be able to have an instant conversation with other members online at that time.

To use this facility members will first need to click on the “Whos online” tab at the top of the page, you will then be presented with all members that are currently logged into their account. At the left of the page you will be able to change information such as age and location to change the results you are being presented with.

Once you have found a member that you would like to start a conversation with you will simply need to click on “Chat now” below the members photo and wait for them to accept your invitation.

We always remind members that in order to use this facility you will need to have the latest version of the adobe flashplayer installed on your computer, if this has not already been installed  they will need to visit www.adobe.com to download this program for free.

We do feel that this is a great way to communicate with one another as this is an instant feature and you do not need to wait hours or days for a response meaning that people can speed up the process of getting to know each other and hopefully hit it off.
We hope that with the use of our websites and of features like this, we help our members to find that special someone for the new year of 2010

As it’s the time for Christmas parties we thought we would carry on the theme from last week’s blog and give you a few more stats and figures about that all important office Christmas Party.
Many of you would have had yours by now but there are still a few looming in the pipeline for this week, so have a quick read of this and you can get a few ideas of things NOT to do after a few glasses of bubbly!

A survey of more than 1000 Brits found that “inappropriate behavior should be avoided at all cost in a bid to safeguard jobs and career prospects.” This is all well and said when sober but when you get a few drinks in you, somehow it seems the right thing to do to misbehave!?

According to the survey, 47% of people thought being sick in front of your boss is the worst thing you could do at the office party, followed closely by telling your boss what you really think of them. Never a good thing when you have to see them the next day and try to explain it was only the alcohol talking and you definitely didn’t mean what you said!

Four in 10 people thought drunkenly resigning was bad, and three in 10 thought photocopying a part of your body was a major no no! I mean you never know who may have kept a copy and could embarrass you with it the next morning.

We have some recent facts and figures that we wanted to share with you in reference to that all important office Christmas party that is always so memorable!

According to a recent survey one in two brits have a fling at their office party. A shocking 47% of guys admitted that they “fancy a bit of someone from work” and 45% of women say they would quite happily risk their relationship to get up close and personal with a work colleague.

An even more scandalous stat was that 12% of people who took part in the survey said they would snog their boss in the hope of getting a promotion. There is no stopping these alcohol filled office lot!

Have you ever thought about pulling a sicky after that all famous Christmas party? Well be careful about pulling one this year… Christmas party sickies cost the economy a huge £216 million!! So watch out you don’t receive more than a bad hangover this year!

As the countdown for Christmas creeps closer and closer, we seem to be receiving lots of success stories! We really love to see our members pairing up and finding happiness, and we wish them all the best. There’s a buzz in the office this week, as we have our support team Christmas dinner at a local restaurant and even more excitingly, we have our office Christmas party on Thursday - we can’t wait to let our hair down and celebrate the year we have had.  Rest assured we will be back in on Friday morning to support our customers as normal!
